Casino Preservation Project
Update
On Wednesday evening,
February 20th the Casino Preservation Project cleared a significant
hurdle. The site plan for the new
casino and sports courts was unanimously approved by the Boothbay Planning
Board. The only contingency was that septic system be
approved by a site evaluator. Patrick
McGranaghan, Architect and John Edgerton, Civil Engineer led the formal
presentation to the committee. The
meeting was attending by Paul Taylor, Chair Building Committee and Mike
Anderson, President. In the
audience were a few OPCT local members while it was estimated that many more
watched the proceedings on line.
The following day in
Augusta a meeting was held with the State of Maine Fire Marshall to review Life
Safety regulations. The meeting was attended by Patrick McGranaghan and Pete
Ripley, Building Committee member.
Well done team!
