Ocean Point Column Nov.10

Ocean Point Column
November 10,2016
By Maryellen Bertrand

The fall season is moving quite quickly with the Thanksgiving holiday just a couple of weeks away. It’s been a very busy season for many Ocean Pointers who have been travelling including Susie and Pete Hamblett. Pete and Suzie recently travelled west to visit the National Parks in Wyoming, Utah and Idaho, 6 in total and were in awe of the natural beauty of not only the parks but also the entire area. Their trip included a visit with John and Sharon Kern in Salt Lake and dinner one night with Jack Kern.
I’m sure the Hamblett family will be gathering for their annual Thanksgiving celebration, as will many other Ocean Point families.

Veteran’s Day is fast approaching and so I would like to acknowledge our Veterans past and present for their continued service to our country in providing us with the freedom and protection that we are so fortunate to experience. Please take time to thank a veteran on November 11.

As I mentioned in the last column the OPCT is searching for a new AD for the summer of 2017. If you know of anyone interested please have them contact search committee members, Liz Holland, Alec Dun or myself for further information.
Also, Treasurer Jen Klein is currently updating our membership list and hopes to complete the assignment very soon.

Have a great week!
