Summer has finally arrived and we are experiencing some fabulous weather this past week. Activities at the Point are fast approaching. Rev. Charles Carrick will conduct our first service of the summer season at Wilson Memorial Chapel on Sunday June 26 at 9:30 A.M. Rev. Carrick is a graduate of Drexel University and Yale Divinity School. He is currently chaplain at Wyoming Seminary Prep School where he teaches several STEM courses and is the Varsity Soccer Coach. Rev. Carrick and his wife Jill and daughter Grace are very active participants in the Ocean Point community.

During the week of June 27 through July 2 activities will begin and will include Zumba, Yoga, Arts and Crafts, Adult Tennis, Tennis Clinic and Kid’s Field Games, Softball and Kickball.
On Saturday July 2 the Horribles Parade will take place beginning at Grimes Cove at 9:30 A.M. followed by our first softball game of the season. Later that evening the annual Chicken Barbeque will be held at 6:30 P.M. Donna Logan is in charge of ticket sales and will be available on the following dates: Sunday June 26th 12-1,Thursday June 30 4-5,and Friday July 1 9-10. Donna can also be reached at 633-7202.
Seating will be limited so be sure to reserve your tickets early, please bring your own utensils and a salad, side or dessert to share.

Save Sunday July 3 for the second Town Meeting to be held at 4 P.M. at the Casino. Please make every effort to attend especially if you were unable to attend the first meeting. It’s imperative for everyone to participate and give your thoughts and ideas as to the future of the OPCT properties. A Planning Workshop for kids and adults will also be held July 4th at 10 A.M. The survey is available to take on the website until June 25th. Please take this all-important survey.

A volunteer paint project is scheduled for July 7th at 9 A.M. The project consists of painting the ramps and deck of the Casino. Please come help with this project as painting is needed!


June is one of the most popular months for weddings and two Ocean Pointers will exchange vows on Saturday June 25. Congratulations and best wishes to Jen Dana and Dave Finch who will be married at Ocean Point and to Chelsea Stevens and Tim Reinsch who are to be married in Durango Colorado.

A friendly reminder from our Treasurer Jen Klein to forward your membership dues and to check out the website for the spring mailing which includes the activities calendar. The mailing will also be available at the Casino beginning the week of June 27th.
