Ocean Point Column
Sept.24,2015
By Maryellen Bertrand
Fall is officially here yet the weather continues to be
quite summer like, bright sunny days, beautiful blue skies and sparkling seas.
The population continues to dwindle and each day finds more empty moorings at
he dock and Grimes Cove.
Bruce and Phoebe McKay were here enjoying the beautiful
weather as Phoebe is newly retired and Bruce, semiretired.
Congratulations to Werner Anderson, Mike Anderson, Will
Bertrand and Bob McCormack
on their second place finish in the Member-Guest tournament
held last weekend at the country club. This weekend will find Tony Krason busy
with his Charities Classic Tournament to benefit the Special Olympics that is
sure to be a successful event.
Stephanie
Slayton’s mom Dorothy Dole recently passed away; our condolences to Stephanie
and her husband Rich, their children and grandchildren.
Sue Taylor is seeking a person skilled in calligraphy to
update the book of memories at the chapel. If you are able to help with this
undertaking or know of someone please contact Sue.
Gail Ross hosted the annual Martin/Ross family reunion
recently at her home. Thirteen members of the family gathered for the
traditional event which was started many years ago. It was great to see Tim and
Peggy Martin from Queche, Vermont along with other Martin relatives from Maine.
Please remember the Food Pantry if you are leaving for the
season.
Have a great week!
