There are many surprises in store for those of you who have not yet had the opportunity to return to Ocean Point. There have been several structural changes to homes, cottages and land. The cell tower has been erected between Van Horn Rd. and Middle Rd. and the old Akroyd cottage has been torn down and a new structure will take its place.

Graduations continue to be a frequent occurrence this month, congratulations to the following Ocean Pointers:
Elizabeth Erskine graduated from Windham High School on June 7th and will pursue a degree in Secondary Education this fall at the University of Maine at Farmington. Elizabeth’s goal is to become a History teacher. Elizabeth is the daughter of Margaret (Merton) and Allen Erskine.
Caroline Kern recently graduated from Bates College where she was awarded a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology. Caroline intends to pursue a postgraduate degree in a related field. Caroline is the daughter of Sue and Dave Kern.

Connie Saindon has been invited to participate in the Books in Boothbay event on Saturday July 11 at the Railway Museum. As you may recall Connie’s book, Murder Survivor’s Handbook Real-Life Stories, Tips and Resources was published last year and has received numerous awards and recognitions.
