For the second year in a row record cold winter conditions persist on the Boothbay peninsula with average temperatures remaining 10+ degrees below normal, a lot of ice still on the ponds and snow in many spots still measured in feet; it is hard to think that seasonal water will be up and running in a little over three-weeks. Below is the status report for today. As conditions warrant this update will be revised and when meters start hitting the ground this may be updated on a morning/ evening basis.
We have much hard work left to get our seasonal system up and running and are doing everything in our power to start the 2015 season off by May 1.
Make no mistake 2015 is going to be the most challenging turn-on yet but we, the staff of the Boothbay Region Water District, fully understand establishing service is of great importance to our 1,800 seasonal customers, and to the community as a whole… We DO get it!!!!!
