Ocean Point Column Nov.1,2018

Ocean Point Column
November 1,2018
By Maryellen Bertrand

There are many Ocean Point Red Sox fans that, I’m sure, are over the top elated that our beloved team are World Series champions! It was a great season and series and honestly I’m happy the late nights are over!

This happens to be one of my favorite times of the year as all Boston teams are playing and currently doing well in their respective conferences.

We are so fortunate to have so many wonderful year round residents who through their photos, emails and texts keep us all up to date regarding the Point, thank you all!

Julie Brown sent along an email to inform me of the recent storm; despite the high winds and rain of the latest Nor’easter, everything appeared to be intact and the power remained on. Julie and Linc have returned from their trip and so I hope that when she has the time she will share some of their adventure with us.

Doreen Dun is planning a 2 week trip to Oman that will include some sightseeing and cultural exchange. Doreen is looking forward to the warmer climate of the region which is currently between 88-90 degrees. Oman is located on the southern tip of the Arabian Peninsula, a 15-hour flight.

Congratulations to Dave and Jen Finch on their new home in Portland. Jen and Dave are expecting their first child as well so lots of happiness to share in the Dana household.
China McHold Campbell and her husband Tom have recently moved to Maine; they are now residing in Yarmouth. Both couples are very happy to be living in Maine and of course, closer to Ocean Point.

Pat and Bob Landurand celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with their family and close friends at the Tuscan Grille. Their special celebration was planned by their daughter Kristen and family and included the” bride and groom” dancing the Argentine Tango, Waltz, Jive and Cha Cha to the delight of their guests, congratulations to Pat and Bob.

Don’t forget to check the website often for updates and send news for the column.

Have a great week!
