All of us here at Ocean Point seem to have the same opinion
regarding summer…..it’s flying by way too quickly and isn’t that the truth!
Here we are already into August ,it just doesn’t seems possible.
One of the nice things that you can definitely say about
August with absolute certainty is that our August vacationers have arrived and
it’s great to see many of our friends for the first time since last year.
All of the Hamblett and Fuller families are here enjoying
what will be a reunion for them, as they don’t have the opportunity to vacation
all together at the same time. They will be enjoying many activities as the
week passes; don’t be surprised if you here the sounds of spirited
competiveness emerging from their house as you pass by.
Ocean Pointer Priscilla Alden ‘s Tapestries and Monoprints
are currently on display at the Goldsmith Gallery 8 McKown St.; do stop by to
view her beautiful work which runs now through August 21.
Thank you to all who chaired an activity last week; Ken
Schroeder for grilling burgers and dogs after the Sunday softball game, Roseanne
Bourassa for a lively game of Bunco, Dana Wilson Turpie for a most enjoyable
and informative tour of Bigelow Lab, the Arnpeiesters for the Smores night.
Thanks to Jonathan and Kate Dawson we were all treated to a
delicious meal of lobster and all the fixings with the help of their hard
working crew: David Butterworth, Charlie Carick, Tom and China McHold Campbell,
Bob Slayton, Andy Martino and Jane Dawson. Despite the seaweed, the weather
cooperated and added to the festivities of the evening.
