Can you believe that we are fast approaching the end of the month? Where did the time go? Several July residents will sadly be packing up to leave and the August crowd will move in to hopefully enjoy the great weather we have been experiencing.

The first two weeks of July always seems to be busiest of the month and this past week has quieted down a bit but there are still many activities to enjoy. Thank you to Stephanie Kaler for organizing the Ice Cream Social; although I was not able to attend I did hear it was great fun.

Our Rummage Sale was a huge success due to the efforts of Ann Hussey-Hogaboom and Holly Hornor who chaired and to the amazing crew who spent hours setting up the day before and returning the next day to sell and break down. A heartfelt thank you to the following people: Hélène Cass, Suzie Hamblett, Cookie Dana, Coco Webber, Patty Gardner, Bonnie Bennett and her sister Laurie, Sue Kern, Leslie Whitehiouse, Bibbs Adams, Liz Colten, Cindy Raposa and Pat Landurand.

Coming up later this week Jonathan Dawson will be cooking lobsters, clams and all the fixings along with a hot dog option on Saturday evening at Grimes Cove. You are asked to bring your beverage, utensils and a chair if needed, a side dish or salad is always welcome but not mandatory. Please contact Jonathan at 207-844-0419 to make reservations, as tickets are not being sold for the event. Last year was a sell out so contact him ASAP.

Rev. Tom Lenhart, Senior Minister (former) Plymouth Church, Brooklyn, NY will conduct Sunday Services on July 29 beginning at 9:00 and all are welcome.

Mary Rush will gather all the families at Grimes Cove on Monday August 6 beginning at 5 o’clock for the Beach Picnic and Jonathan Dawson is planning a Kid’s Paint Night on Tuesday August 7 at 7:00.

Brush up on your trivia skills as Wednesday evening August 8 an Adult Trivia Night is on the calendar organized by Mary Rush.

The second of the Kid’s Tennis Scramble is scheduled Thursday August 9 and will again be organized by Lisa Rush.

Don’t forget all of the Exercise classes! We’ve got some great ones: Yoga on Mondays with Lara and Yoga on Thursdays with Mary, Kid’s Yoga on Monday, Tuesday is Zumba and Senior Exercise on Tuesday and Thursday mornings.

Please remember to pay your membership dues to Treasurer Jen Klein and consider a contribution to the Preservation Project, see any member of the Finance Committee with your donation.

As always check the website and the Casino Bulletin Board for any changes to the activities.
