Sunday July 8 at 2:00 at the Wilson Chapel.
As previously reported Marilyn Heise is organizing a Vintage
Photo Exhibit to be held the weekend of July 13 through the 15th and
at her request I am repeating details from her regarding the activity. Marilyn
and her committee members Pat McHold and Carole Palmer are requesting that you gather
your photos for an OP Vintage Photo Exhibit from Friday, July 13 through Sunday, July 15
at the Casino to invoke memories of days gone by at our favorite vacation
peninsula that dates back into the 1800s.
We are seeking photos of the first Casino and other vintage
OP photographs, framed or unframed, from the early 20th Century or
before. Families with history at
Ocean Point look through your old photographs and bring them to the Casino between Friday July 6 and Thursday, July 12. Fill out a form and insert them into
the envelope provided. We will
hang framed photos on nails or hooks and unframed using devices that will not
damage your photos. Up to five photos per submission accepted.
Photos must be picked
up on Sunday, July 15 after the baseball game. If you would like your photos returned by mail, please provide
a stamped and addressed envelope when you deliver your pictures.
Photographs will be
on display during Friday’s Food Sale, Saturday’s Pancake Breakfast and Adult
Porch Party, and during the Sunday Softball Game.
For more information, contact Marilyn Heise at jandmheise@gmail.com or (207)

While gathering your vintage photos start gathering your
treasures for our attic Treasure Sale to be held on Friday July 20th.
Ann Hussey-Hogaboom has graciously agreed to head up the sale and is looking
for volunteers to assist. Please contact her or myself if you are available that
day. Details regarding the sale will be forthcoming shortly.
The beautiful flowers planted on the Memorial land at Middle
Road were generously donated and planted by Ann Hussey-Hogaboom, thank you Ann!
Thanks to Janie DeLuca for the lovely planters at the Chapel and Sue and Paul
Taylor for filling them.
I also understand that Janie arranges the flowers inside the
Chapel as well.
The window boxes at the Casino are a festive addition to the
building, many thanks to the anonymous donor for this kind and generous deed.
Due to the
holiday next week, it’s possible that there may not be a column and so I want
