After a 2-week respite activities have once again kept us all busy. Thank you to Pat Landurand
for hosting a very successful Food Sale on the 11th and thanks to her able
bodied assistants Ginny Rush, Gail Ross, Connie Saindon, Leslie Whitehouse,
Roseanne Bourassa, Kate Turpie and Cindy Raposa.
The Hamblett Family Cooked up a storm on Saturday morning
and treated us all to some delicious pancakes. Suzie’s assistants were her
husband Pete, her son Andy and daughter in law Meaghan, daughter Leslie Gamache and Robert and Maureen Driscoll. The wait
staff performed so professionally and they included Jonathan and Luke Yerral,
Luke and Zack Arnpriester, Katy Lindley, Al Dawson, and Jefferson, Caroline,
Luke and Dylan Driscoll.
Matt and Kathy Lindley were instrumental in providing us
with a fantastic Porch Party, our second of the season. We thoroughly enjoyed
great food and spirited conversation.
Liz and Paul Holland along with Kate Dawson served up
burgers and hotdogs at our Ball Game Grill on Sunday with a big crowd in
attendance. Thank you to all of these Ocean Pointers for providing us with some
fabulous activities!
Unfortunately we are in the middle of our last week of
activities. Ginna Yerrall will close out our season of activities with a Kid’s
Tennis Scramble and Pizza on Thursday evening at 5:00 and then organize a
Scavenger Hunt on Friday evening also beginning at 5.
Saturday morning we will gather at the Casino for our Annual
Meeting beginning promptly at 9:30. If you have not paid your membership you
will have the opportunity to do so from 8:30-9:15 on that morning.
Lisa Burger, Former Pastor of East Boothbay and Southport
Methodist Churches, will conduct Sunday services at the Wilson Chapel on August
20 beginning at 9:30,all are welcome
The Card Cove Association letter has been delivered to Ocean
Pointers reminding us of our contribution to the organization in maintaining
the dock.
Many Ocean Pointers are back vacationing, so good to see the
Gamache Family, Yerrall Family, Slayton Family, Arnpriester Family, Lindleys
and Rush’s to name just a few. It was wonderful to see the Pike/Ripley Family
all gathered to celebrate the life of Lee Ripley last weekend.
Enjoy the great weather, and the last days of activities. Have
a great week!
