Happy New Year
to everyone; I hope that you were able to enjoy the holidays with family and
friends. Our usual Christmas was spent with family in Kennebunkport enjoying
the day and walking the beach. I personally look forward to January 1 as it
reminds me that we will be back at Ocean Point in just a few short months.
The Hankinson’s
enjoyed their holiday in Sarasota, Florida visiting Kelly’s mom and then on to
Disney World and Epcot with Kelly and the girls. JD would like to remind
everyone that it is Girl Scout cookie time so if you are interested in ordering
contact him.
The Webster’s
enjoyed a post holiday dinner” Web Fest” with Jean’s sister Susan and her
husband Stu, Arthur Webster and June and Bob Rose.
January 1 also
brings the annual Penguin Plunge, congratulations to all the brave participants
this year especially the Ocean Point residents.
Congratulations
to Senator Mike Rush who was sworn in for his third term in the Massachusetts
Senate this past week. Among his many responsibilities Mike is the Chair of the
Veterans and Federal Affairs Committee and continues to work diligently on behalf
of the Veterans.
Life long Ocean
Point resident Marilyn Landry passed away December 17. Our sincerest
condolences to Marilyn’s husband Lou, their 5 children and 5 grandchildren and
Marilyn’s surviving siblings, Lucy and Cynthia.
If you have not
visited the Blog recently, there are some great photographs taken by Rusty
Court, Sue Goodrich and Julie Brown. Thank you for sharing your beautiful
photos with us, it keeps us all connected to Ocean Point in the off-season!
The AD search
committee has been formed and is seeking a replacement for Ginny Kern. If you
or someone you know are interested in the position details regarding the
application process will be forthcoming in the next couple of weeks in the
column as well as the Blog.
Have a great
week!
