Ocean Point Column

I hope that you all enjoyed the Thanksgiving holiday with
family and friends as much as we did. Our Thanksgiving was spent in
Kennebunkport with family and although the weather was less than perfect it
certainly did not damper our festivities.
We drove to Boothbay on Friday to attend the Gardens Aglow
exhibit. The display of lights is quite spectacular and definitely worth seeing
if you have the opportunity. It was nice to see so many familiar faces at the
Garden and around town. For the first time the harbor storefronts were
decorated for the season and made the downtown area quite celebratory.
I was excited to be able to participate in shop local on
Saturday and purchased several gifts from some of my favorite downtown businesses.
If you are looking for a great gift for someone special Sue Clark’s book,” Past
Images of Ocean Point Maine” is available at the East Boothbay General Store or

Congratulations to Ashley (Pond) and Rhett Butler on the
birth of their second daughter Chloe Joyce born November 27 in Jacksonville,
Florida weighing 7 lbs. 5 oz. Ashley is the daughter of Cara and Mark Pond,
congratulations to them as well. Mom, dad and big sister Adison are all doing
well and are looking forward to visiting Ocean Point next summer.
Dave McHold is recovering quite nicely from recent back
surgery thanks to the support of Pat and his children. Dave hopes to be fully mobile
in just a few short weeks just in time for the holiday.
Dianne Eakin is gearing up for the Christmas holiday and
will spend it with her family, as Debi and Steve will be arriving for a visit.
Enjoy your holiday season with family and friends and have a
great week!
