July is quickly coming to a close and the August residents are beginning to arrive. I hope the weather will continue to be as fantastic as it has been this month.

August activities will kick off with our usual weekly events so be sure to check the Casino bulletin board for any updates to the calendar.

Get ready for a night of fun and laughter on August 4, as Roseanne Bourassa will host the ever-popular Ladies Bunco beginning at 7 P.M. The sign up sheet will be available at the Casino.

Thanks to the Hamblett Family, the August Pancake breakfast will take place on Saturday morning August 6 from 8:30 until 10:00 and the Lobster Bake will be held that evening at 6:00 on the Fuller Property organized by Mike and Susan Anderson. Thank you in advance to Ted and Mary Fuller for their generous use of their property. Ticket sales begin Tuesday July 26 at the Casino; the price for the bake is $35.00 which includes lobster, clams and all the fixings plus gratuity. For an additional $5.00 an extra lobster can be purchased, BYO your choice of beverage.

Our Attic Treasure Sale was a huge success, thank you to Barb Newell and all the many volunteers who assisted Barb in set up and the day of the sale.

The kids had a wonderful evening at the beach picnic last week planned by Maureen Driscoll and Liz Holland; many of the young families gathered to grill and play games at Grimes.

Ted and Ginny Kern hosted a great ball game grill after the softball game this past Sunday and was very well attended, thank you to you both and of course to all who donated a side dish.

Dick and Cilla Alden will be the featured artists at Studio 53 Fine Art Gallery August1-28. The Ancient Flow exhibit is inspired by their recent travels to Turkey, Dordogne, France and the American Southwest. Their imagery is portrayed through the mediums of fiber art, sculpture and woodblock. Please join them for their Grand
Opening on Friday August 5 from 5-8 P.M.

Congratulations to Jake Fischer who recently became engaged to Leah Friedman. The Fischer Family has plenty to celebrate, as Annie will be married next month to Matt Berg.

Congratulations to Dani and Kevin McGoneagal on the birth of their son, Ryan Patrick and to grandparents Tish and Tom McGonegal.

Krista Irmischer is excited to be moving to London to attend Graduate School at the University of East London where she will study Applied Positive Psychology and Coaching Psychology. She is seeking a home for her 2 kittens while she is abroad. Contact Krista if interested.

The Planning Workshop will be held on Sunday July 31 at 2 P.M. Please plan to attend and bring your ideas.

Have a great week!
