2016 Horribles Parade

By all accounts reviewers agreed this year's parade was one of the best!

    Fun Fact: The Ancients and Horribles Parade, or Parade of Horribles was popular at the turn of the century in New England summer communities. It's an obscure Fourth of July custom in New England. The dress was meant to mock or satirize politicians and other public figures including satirical displays commenting on political and cultural issues. Several towns in Massachusetts continue the yearly tradition including Gloucester, Beverly, Danvers, Marblehead, Salem, and Chepachet and Glocester, Rhode Island.
