I hope that everyone enjoyed the Thanksgiving holiday; we
certainly did as we traveled to Maine, We spent the holiday in Kennebunkport
with family, It is nice to be back in Maine even if only for a short visit.
Jean and John Webster traveled to St Louis to be with their
daughter Kim and son in law Michael and extended family. They helped daughter
Kim celebrate a milestone birthday, happy birthday Kim.
Several Ocean Point families had the opportunity to spend
the holiday together. Julie and Link Brown gathered for their festivities with Paul,
Helene and Moira Cass as well as Chris, Coco and Peter Weber. The Johnsons and
the Dunlaps joined them later in the day to share desserts.
Julie and Link enjoyed a trip to Australia and New Zealand
recently. They began their trip in California visiting with son Chip and
daughter in law Lisa. They flew to Sydney for a few days of touring and then
boarded a cruise ship to visit more of the continent. Next they cruised to New
Zealand for a tour of many of the sites there. They departed the ship in Auckland
for a few more days of touring before heading back to California; coincidently
Kate Turpie was on the cruise as well. Julie reports that they thoroughly
enjoyed the sun and warm temperatures and reports that it was their best trip
ever.
With the Thanksgiving holiday behind us, its time to turn
our attention to the many December celebrations that will occur throughout this
month. Pam Nolan suggests that you not miss the Gardens Aglow at the Botanical
Gardens. She and Dick visited not long ago and claim that it is truly
spectacular, worth a trip to Boothbay. The 30th annual Harbor Lights Festival
will be held this weekend with numerous events taking place; this is another
event not to be missed.
Enjoy the season’s celebrations and have a great week!
