Ocean Point Column
November 19,2015
By Maryellen Bertrand
Once again I am happy to begin the column with more exciting
news. This time it is from Sue Clark. Sue, as many of you know, owns and
operates her own business, Latitude 43 Designs. Sue creates all kinds of
nautical accessories for men and women including her whimsical fish sticks. Her
accessories are available in many stores throughout the area, including the
East Boothbay General Store. For
many years now Sue has been collecting old images of cottages, buildings and
scenes of Ocean Point dating as far back as the early 1900’s. She is currently
working with a publisher to compile these images into a book. Sue would welcome
any early photos of your cottage to be considered for this book. Please contact
her at Latitude43designs@hotmail.com for further information and inquiries
regarding the project. Can’t wait to see the finished product!
Dianne Eakin recently visited Palmetto Bluffs in Bluffton,
South Carolina with her church choir group and had the opportunity to visit
with her brother Steve and his wife Maggie. She and her church choir group also
cruised to the Caribbean for a mini vacation. Dianne reports that the weather
in Florida has been unseasonably warm this fall. I’m sure many of you concur
that the weather has been on the warmer side for most of the season.
It’s hard to believe that the Thanksgiving Holiday is coming
upon us so quickly,
enjoy your holiday with family and friends and safe travel
to all.
Have a great week!
