Congratulations to Mike Rush who recently received the
“Outstanding Veterans Award” from the Montachusett Veterans Outreach Program in
Gardner, Ma. As many of you know Mike serves as Chair of the Committee on
Veterans Affairs at the Massachusetts State House. Mike works diligently on
behalf of his fellow Veterans.
The Hambletts have had a busy fall touring Europe. Suzie and
Pete visited Brussels, Amsterdam. France and Barcelona Spain and enjoyed every
moment, they are currently busy keeping up with all of their grandchildren’s
activities. Their grandson Jack Parker was recently in Croatia enjoying all
that the country has to offer and is seen on Facebook jumping from a 50-foot
cliff. Granddaughter Ellie Gamache has just begun her freshman year at Endicott
College in Beverly Mass. Many of their grandkids are involved in sports and
Pete and Suzie attempt to attend as many games as possible, including a recent
soccer game in Portland which Helen Hamblett participated in.
Allen and Sally Johnson received very sad news this past
week. Allen’s brother Lathrop died after a battle with cancer. Lathrop retired
in May after a successful career as a Professor of German at Ball State
University. He is survived by his wife, Susan, also a Professor and Dean at
Ball State, our condolences to all of the Johnson family.
I hope that you are continuing to enjoy the beautiful
weather, have a great week!
