August vacationers are here enjoying the beauty of the area and the great weather. Great to see Mark, Flor and Alex Rush here for a short stay.

Sally and Allen Johnson enjoyed having their family all together celebrating a milestone birthday for Allen. Son Tim, daughter in law Tracy and granddaughters Alex and Corey as well as Sally and Allen’s daughter Abby (Dunlap) son in law John, and granddaughter Fiona helped celebrate. Mark and Belinda Wakefield flew in from London to join in the celebration along with many good friends, happy birthday Allen.
Congratulations to Corey Johnson as she will be entering medical school at the Tufts/Maine Medical program.
Congratulations also to Sadie Marden granddaughter of Bob and Scoop and daughter of Bob Jr. and Lydia who recently graduated from Dartmouth Medical School and is currently doing her Residency at Maine Medical Center.

Thank you to all who chaired an activity last week. The ladies enjoyed a fun filled night of Bunco thanks to Roseanne Bourassa. The second Porch Party was extremely well attended with lots of food and conversation so thank you to Kate Turpie and Pat Landurand for a wonderful evening. Just a reminder that Kate is currently selling the Ocean Point Calendar so don’t miss out on purchasing one, they make great gifts.

The Clamshell Open was held earlier in the day and was won by Robert Dana. Low Gross was won by his soon to be son in law Dave Finch and Dave also had Longest Drive, 2nd Gross score was won by Will Bertrand and he was closest to the pin on 17. Congratulations to all and a special thanks to Will Bertrand for organizing the event and to the Country Club and staff for a delicious lunch after play.

Team Bertrand continues to maintain their winning streak; they crushed the Dawson Team 18-6 in last Sunday’s softball game.
The Ball game grill was held immediately following the game, thanks to Ted Kern, Ken Schroeder and Gerry Shea for their grilling skills.
