Thank you to the Boothbay Water district for your tremendous
effort in getting the seasonal water turned on which was no easy task this
year. We truly appreciate your hard work and diligence completing the project.
I’m sure runners and spectators alike were hoping for better
weather for this year’s Boston Marathon. Unfortunately that did not happen,
however, it did not dampen the spirits and resilience of those runners; my own
family included. Congratulations to all area runners who trained long and hard
under difficult weather conditions,
Congratulations to Sarah (Goodrich) and Noah Hoffamn on the
birth of their first child, Maxwell Robert born April 5. Congratulations to Maxwell’s
grandparents Bob and Sue Goodrich of Ocean Point and Rev.Sarah Foulger and Russ
Hoffman of Boothbay. They are all thrilled at the birth of their new grandson
and as Sue expressed,” they are over the moon with joy”. Sarah and Noah are living in
Philadelphia where they are both Pediatricians. Sarah, Noah and baby Maxwell
hope to be visiting Ocean Point and the area very soon.
Tish McGonegal shared some interesting information regarding
her birthday on April 16. It seems that TIsh shares her day with several Ocean
Pointers past and present. Among those celebrating along with Tish are Kate
Dawson, Marsha and Donald Knauff, and Ken Schroeder. It was also John Stevens
Sr. and his son Johnny’s birthday as well.
Tish celebrated her milestone day with all of her family;
husband Tom put it all together as a surprise. Her celebration included her
children, their spouses and her grandchildren and Tish’s siblings, Happy
Birthday Tish and to all those who share your day.
I am looking forward to the Fisherman’s Festival this
weekend and I hope to see many of you there. Have a great week!
