Ocean Point Column April 2

Ocean Point Column

It appears that many Ocean Pointers have received at least the electronic copy of the 2015 Spring Mailing by the OPCT.  If you have not received the electronic copy and wish to do so please contact the OPCT for assistance. A hard copy of the mailing is forthcoming for those who prefer this option. Please take a moment to read over the contents as it contains pertinent information regarding membership, activities and contact information.

Holly Hornor recently visited her daughter Hillary, son in law Nick and her grandchildren, Dossie, Cooper, Campbell, Wyatt and Tanner who now reside in Santa Monica California. Holly reports that they are all doing well and have adjusted to the warmth and beauty of the area. Holly thoroughly enjoyed walking the beach and soaking her feet in the Pacific Ocean, a welcome change from the snow and cold here in the Northeast.

On a sad note, Harry Scruton passed away peacefully on March 27.  Harry and his wife Danielle have summered at Ocean Point for many years.
Harry loved the beauty of Ocean Point and the surrounding area and his favorite past times included sailing and golf. He enjoyed the Sunday Softball games where he often played at first base and later right field.  He will be remembered for his quick wit and friendly manner, our sincere condolences to Danielle, his family and friends.

I’m sure many of you are anxious to return to the area.  The Water District will be working diligently to get the water on however; due to the extreme winter weather conditions the water turn on may be delayed. Please check the Water District website for further updates.

Happy Easter and have a great week!
