Congratulations to Dana (Turpie) and Eben Wilson on the birth of their second daughter Lettie Jane on March 3 at Maine Medical Center, Congratulations as well to big sister Elise and to grandmother Kate Turpie, Lettie is Kate’s 8th grandchild!

Congratulations to Christopher and Hannah Webber who are expecting their first child in June. Christopher is the son of Coco and Chris Webber who are extremely excited to become first time grandparents. It appears that we will have many new additions to the Horribles Parade on the 4th of July!

It has been a very long and challenging winter for Marilyn Steane. Marilyn was in and out of the hospital many times with back surgery and complications resulting from that surgery. She is of course frustrated as she is not able to participate in her favorite past times: skiing riding her horse and golf. Jim has been busy skiing all winter.
Jim and Marilyn were able to sit for their daughter Jen and son in law Dave’s dogs while Jen and Dave searched for a house in Maui where they now reside. Jen and Dave will be seen on the HGTV show House Hunters which will air in April, Marilyn will keep us all informed as to the date.
Jim and Marilyn’s son Jeff, daughter in law Cindy, and grandchild Morgan were able to visit them at Thanksgiving and enjoy some early skiing. The entire family plans to be together in Maui in the near future. Both Jim and Marilyn are looking forward to summer and Ocean Point.

The Wilson and Kern families enjoyed a reunion recently in Maine, Betsy (Wilson) Roig’s daughter Emily is a singer/songwriter from Nashville, Emily was on tour and performed at Bates College and then performed in Portland at Andy’s Old Port Pub. Many Ocean Pointers were in attendance including Bety’s sister Sue and husband Dave and daughters Caroline and Sarah also Ted, Ginny, Grant, and Jennifer Kern as well as Jerry and Deb Hankinson and Gary and Leah Peachy.  The next evening Emily travelled to Merrimac MA. where she performed at the Pilgrim Congregational Church. Ann Kern and many of Sue and Dave’s friends attended this performance; Betsy was amazed by the amount of snow piled in their driveway at Ocean Point.

Gail Ross has been busy the past few months assisting her local high school theatre group in preparing for their musical production of Fiddler On The Roof. Gail generously gives of her time and talent to the theatre group twice a year providing help with costumes, rehearsals and all that is involved in staging a musical performance.

The Bertrand Rush Meagher Family gathered last weekend for their annual St. Patrick’s Day celebration enjoying the traditional corned beef and cabbage dinner.
Mark Rush was able to join us from Lexington VA, as he was here in the Boston area for a few days. He and his family will be vacationing at Ocean Point this summer and are excited to be coming back.
