Ocean Point Column

For many Ocean Pointers who are New England Patriots fans
the victory over the Baltimore Ravens was certainly exciting and a true nail
biter to the end. The Patriots now move on to the AFC championship next week
and many Ocean Pointers will of course be rooting for them. The Patriots-
Ravens game found several long time Ocean Point friends gathered to watch.
Peter Klein traveled to Boston to enjoy the game with Jim Rush and Kevin
McGonegal and there was plenty of game time texting going on between them and
Will Bertrand.
I do hope that next week’s game will end with the same
winning results.
Kate Turpie is currently recuperating from ankle surgery due
to a fall on black ice. In her recent Christmas letter she reports that her
healing is coming along and she is able to move and get around with the help of
family and friends. Doreen Dun is on the mend from knee replacement surgery in
December and she would like to thank all those Ocean Pointers who sent well
wishes.
Julie Brown sent some incredible pictures taken the morning
of January 8th of sea smoke in front of Ram Island. They are posted
on the blog, thank you Julie. I’m
quite sure that I can speak for all of us when I say how appreciative we are
not only to Julie but also to everyone who shares their beautiful photographs
of the Point. Julie and Link are awaiting the arrival of their son Chip and
daughter in law Lisa from California who will be here visiting and working on
their new home.
Marilyn and Jack Heise travelled to the Point over the
holidays to check on the progress of their new home. They visited with Sally
and Allen Johnson and were reunited with their Ocean Point friends the Duns,
Palmrs, McHolds, Aldens, Fosters and other year round residents. Marilyn and
Jack are excited to be joining the year round community later in the year when
they move from Chicago,
Have a great week!
