Ocean Point Column

It appears from several of the emails I received this past
week that many Ocean Pointers gathered with family and friends to enjoy the
Thanksgiving holiday. Tom and Tish McGonegal hosted 16 of their family and
friends for Thanksgiving at their home in Acton. Liz and Dick Colten spent the
week at the Point and celebrated the holiday with the Dun family, Doreen is
currently recuperating from knee surgery, and we hope all goes well with her
therapy.
Jean and John Webster had the opportunity to travel to St.
Louis to celebrate their holiday with daughter Kim and her husband Michael and
granddaughters Ava and Grace. Joining them from Dallas Texas was their son
Stephen and his wife Theresa, Jean and John’s granddaughter Nicole and
grandson Ethan. Also in attendance was Jean’s sister Roni from New York City.
The gathering was especially meaningful as Jean was celebrating a milestone
birthday, happy birthday Jean! Exciting news from the Websters is that son
Stephen was just named Vice President of Brand and Design at Mary Kay Global,
of Dallas Texas. Stephen has been employed with the company for the past 17
years and travels extensively oversees representing Mary Kay Global.
Congratulations on a well deserved promotion.
Gail Ross and Sharon Gleason spent a weekend in Boston
recently. Their trips had been planned this past summer to coincide with the
Wyeth exhibit which is currently featured at the Museum of Fine Arts as well as
a celebration of their birthdays. Gail, Sharon, Ginny Rush, Tish McGonegal and
myself thoroughly enjoyed a field trip to the museum for the exhibit. If you have the opportunity to travel
to Boston it is well worth the drive, it is by far one of the best compilations
of Jamie’s works that I have seen to date.
Later that weekend Alex Hall met up with us for a birthday
dinner celebration; it was certainly fun catching up with news of Ocean Point. Exciting
news from the Hall family is the birth of a new baby boy, Charles Scott Hall. Charlie’s
parents are Will and Megan Hall and grandparent Dick Hall. Congratulations to
great aunt Alex as well as Charlie’s big brother William.
Also, congratulations to the Ross family on the birth of a
new baby girl, the first granddaughter in the Ross family. Paige Adison was
born recently to Dan and Karen (Ross) Valentine and her brothers Jack, Seth and
Nate, Our best to grandparents Chris and Marilyn Ross and great aunt Gail. We will undoubtedly have lots of new
additions to the parade next summer.
The Christmas holiday is fast approaching so enjoy your holiday
shopping as well as the special events of the season. Have a great week.
