Ocean Point has certainly experienced its share of losses this past year and unfortunately this past week we have lost another beloved Ocean Pointer. Stan Clark died after a brief illness.  Stan will be fondly remembered for his great smile, and enthusiasm and for his love of Ocean Point, boating and golfing. On behalf of Ocean Pointers our sincerest condolences to his wife Charlon, son Brooks and his wife Tina and his grandson Andrew, his daughter Caity and husband Michael Salmon and granddaughter Charlotte. A service will be held on Sunday October 12 at the Wilson Chapel at 2:00 P.M. Donations in his memory may be made to the Ocean Point Colony Trust.

It was nice to see Deanna and Marina Demers here with their parents Donald and Francesca. Congratulations to Nate Demers on his acceptance into the Coast Guard. Nate is completing his summer position on the Lazy Jack.

Jennifer Merton is putting in a lot of miles around the Point in anticipation of running a half marathon with her daughter Catherine. Catherine is in her first year at Bates College.

If you have been fortunate enough to be here at the Point the weather for the month of September has been spectacular. Last weekend we experienced some of the hottest days of the summer, just in time for the Celebrities Classic Golf Tournament, Link Brown and Lanny Whitehouse once again volunteered their time to Tony Krason’s very successful event. Both Link and Lanny drove a celebrity and thoroughly enjoyed the day despite the heat.

Have a great week.
