There were many Ocean Pointers in attendance for the memorial service of Stan Clark Columbus Day weekend. Stan’s family would like to thank everyone for their kind expressions of sympathy, love and support. In addition they would also like to thank Sarah Folger, Eugenie O’Connell, Sue Taylor, Sally Johnson, Link Brown, Joanne Demers, Berry Lancaster Williams, Carol Mathieson, Sally Bullard, Laura Francis and so many others who helped make the service and reception so special.

Sally and Allen Johnson and Doreen and Jim Dun recently spent a few days touring Quebec City and enjoying all of the sites and food that the city has to offer; they thoroughly enjoyed eating their way through all of the gourmet restaurants.   Although they experienced beautiful sunny weather it was extremely windy. Sally reports that it was so windy that it blew Kleenex right out of her pocket which reminded her of a story that Rusty Court tells of the wind blowing the peanut butter off his sandwich!

Congratulations to Lou Landry who was recently awarded first prize in the ART in Me exhibition at the Boothbay Region Art Foundation. Lou’s confetti bowl was chosen from 130 entries, Ocean Pointers Dick and Cilla Alden and Joan and Carlton Plummer were also among many artists from the Boothbay region included in the show, congratulations to all.

Happy Halloween and have a great week!
