Happy summer to all Ocean Pointers! Activity here at the Point has picked up considerably in the past week with many boats being placed on their mooring and a noticeable increase in both car and foot traffic. The float at Grimes has been put in place ready for the many beachgoers.

It is exciting to see the return of old friends to the Point and to meet some new ones.
Please help me welcome newcomers the Daley Family who recently purchased the Stover/Ryder cottage. The Daly’s winter in Venice Florida but are originally from the Poconos area of Pennsylvania. They happily shared how their purchase of the cottage occurred; they were visiting friends in the area for the first time last summer and fell in love with Ocean Point, imagine that!

On one of my many morning walks I had an opportunity to chat with Corrine McIntyre who happened to be painting with her artist group at 2 trees (I’m having a bit of difficulty referring to it as 2; it will always be 3 trees to me). Corrine had a wonderful winter as she thoroughly embraces every season at Ocean Point.

Congratulations to Liam Dun who recently celebrated his high school graduation and will attend Bates College in the fall. Liam is the son of Alec and Kelly Dun and grandson of Jim and Doreen Dun.

There is much happiness in the Fischer Family as grandmother Joan celebrates the birth of 2 new granddaughters. Congratulations to daughter Annie and her husband Matt on the birth of baby daughter Shaylor May and to Joan’s son Jake and his wife Leah on the birth of their baby daughter Emmanuelle Joy. Jake and Leah will be here over the 4th of July; we can’t wait to meet baby “Elle”.

Our AD Andy and wife Nancy are scheduled to arrive on Wednesday June 26th, if you have not met Andy and Nancy please stop by to introduce yourself.
