Many more Ocean Pointers have arrived this week either for
the season or for a vacation. It’s great to see Bob and Scoop Marden in residence
as well as Brent and Elise Wyman and Jack and Georgia Chambers. Crary and
Ginger Brownell are here with Leah, Brenna and Ryan for an extended stay as is
David and Terry Houston and their children Allie and Brennan. Alex Hall and her
brother Dick are here with more of the family arriving for the 4th.
Bruce and Ellen Turpie and their daughter Annabelle are here on vacation.
Maureen and Robert Driscoll have also arrived with children Jefferson,
Caroline, Lucas and Dylan.
Ocean Point activities are in full swing this week. Ginny
Kern has the Casino in tip top shape and ready to go. The Horribles Parade will
be held on Saturday July 5th beginning at Grimes Cove at 9:30 A.M.and will be
followed by the first softball game of the season. That evening the Chicken
Barbeque will be held at 6:30. Please bring your own utensils and a salad, side
dish or dessert to share. Tickets are available at the Casino until July 3rd; please
see Ginny Kern.

Minister of the First Baptist Church of Hamilton, NY will conduct chapel
services for Sunday July 6th. Services begin at 9:30 A.M. All are
welcome.
Activities for the week of July 7th will include
the following: Children’s arts and crafts on Monday from 4-5 and Field Games
5-6 P.M. Please note that the Writing Class will not be held this week but will
resume next week (July14th). Zumba and Low Impact Exercise on Tuesday at 9 and
10 A.M. Wednesday children’s softball
will be held from 5-6P.M. followed by Kid’s Game Night that evening at 7.
Thursday Zumba will be at 9 A.M. and Low Impact at 10 A.M and Children’s Tennis
Clinic from 9 A.M.-Noon. Friday is Children’s Kickball from 5-6 P.M. The first
Pancake Breakfast is on Saturday July 12th from 8: 30 -11:00 A.M. The tennis courts have started to see lots of
activity. Please see Ginny Kern to pay your tennis fees,
Julie Irmischer Bowes is here vacationing with her family
and I would like to remind everyone that she has designed and is selling the
Ocean Point pendant. Part of the proceeds will be donated to the Ocean Point

Congratulations to Katie Kaminkow, daughter of Kim Kruger
and granddaughter of Nancy and Curt Kruger on her recent graduation from LIM
College in Manhattan. LIM prepares graduates for a career in the fashion
industry.
Donald Demers is currently featured in a one-man exhibit at
the Jinishian Gallery in Fairfield, CT until July 3rd. If you visit
their website you can admire his incredible paintings. Donald will be
conducting a workshop here at Ocean Point a little later in the season.
