Ocean Point Column
May 15
By Maryellen Bertrand
The Mother’s Day weather was spectacular, almost summer like
which brought out lots of people enjoying the warm temperatures and sunshine.
Many residents are beginning to return for the season both on the Point and in
the harbor, which is a welcome sign. The Inn is scheduled to reopen the
restaurant on June 13 and they are busy preparing for that as well as reopening
the rooms.
The season continues to be a celebratory time for several
Ocean Pointers. Congratulations to Tory Ripley who graduated May 10th
from the University of Maine.
Congratulations to Lucy Marlow who is celebrating a
milestone birthday.
Congratulations to
Kevin and Dannie McGonegal who are expecting their first child in the fall.
Kathy Boyd was at the Point recently and is just completing
another academic year at the University of Massachusetts where she serves as
one of the athletic trainers. She is well and looking forward to some vacation
time.
Let’s hope for more of this beautiful weather. Have a great
week.
